As you can see by the lack of posts, Robert8209 resigned as a Manchester United Blogger on this Manchester United FC blog.  I wish that was not the case, but it is what it is.  Even if he was still with us, we would be looking for more Manchester United Bloggers to improve upon what he started.  With him not here anymore, we need to start all over.

The Manchester United FC blog is looking to add five more Manchester United Bloggers immediately.  One World One Sport is trying to create the world’s greatest Manchester United Blog/Fansite, and we need more creative Manchester United Bloggers to join our Manchester United FC blog to achieve our objective.  We are looking for one Lead Blogger to ensure that everything is covered and nothing is duplicated and four Manchester United Bloggers.  For a more extensive overview of the position, click on the “Write for Us” link in the “Menu” section of the left sidebar.  If you have any questions then feel free to contact me by clicking on the “Contact Us” link in the “Menu” section of the left sidebar.

Closer and closer to Moscow

March 05, 2008 By: robert8209 Category: Football, Manchester United, UEFA Champions League No Comments →

Last night, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 30th goal of the season, and Manchester is in the quarters of the Champions League.

Inspite of that, United didn’t provide some great football, but we got to understand that nice football can’t be played if the opponent doesn’t allow that.

The game was mostly played at the centre of the field.  We can’t say that it was a spectacular game, with many opportunities for both sides.  Infact, and I don’t want to upset anyone, there probably were a couple of balls that went out of the stadium and broke some windows…Of course I’m exaggerating a bit, now let’s be serious again.

The fact is that United played a smart game, and the word that could characterize them the best would be: pragmatism.

All the players had this attribute, but maybe Fletcher had it the most, and Ferguson knew that.  That’s probably why Scholes was left on the bench.

Also, Carrick is becoming more and more indispensable to the team.

Everyone would have been a lot happier with 2 or 3-0, but a win is a win, and we got a place reserved in the quarter finals of the most important club competition in the world.

Manchester is now just two opponents away from the final which will take place in Moscow.

Manchester used this team:
Van der Sar, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson (Tevez 70), Ronaldo (Hargreaves 90), Rooney, Nani.
